The PERIFORMANCE project is pleased to announce that its Open Call for initiatives on public engagement in cancer research and care is active. This funding opportunity is designed to support innovative, participatory approaches that strengthen the role of patients, citizens, and communities in shaping the future of cancer research and healthcare across Europe.
Selected initiatives will contribute to ensuring that emerging health technologies, including artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions, are developed in alignment with societal values, transparency, and public trust.
With a strong focus on co-creation, ethics, and trust, the Open Call will fund projects that:
- Enhance patient and citizen participation
- Promote ethical and responsible use of health data
- Foster inclusive and scalable solutions
- Strengthen collaboration between research, healthcare, and society.
Funding of up to €10,000 per project is available to support local, regional, or national initiatives led by biobanks, academic institutions, SMEs, and civil society organisations.
Through this Open Call, PERIFORMANCE aims to bridge the gap between science and society, empowering stakeholders to co-create solutions that are responsive to real-world needs and reflective of Europe’s diversity.
